Ruffled Feathers

Hey Everyone! Ok, I have been MIA but I have a good excuse this time. My computer has had a spirit so therefore it’s bout impossible to get on the Internet let alone download the pictures and write the blog.  But I didn’t want to let my two readers down *blows y'all kisses*  lol. So I have to use another computer till we can get mine back in it’s right mind.  So now that we got the preliminary stuff out the way. *wipes brow*  Let’s get into this look.  So, first I know your like why is it called “Ruffled Feathers” well the blue shirt that I wore with it had these cute ruffles on the shoulders so I thought Ruffled Feathers.  I also got the color idea from Bitchin Kitchen which is a cooking show that comes on the Food Network and each week they have a different color scheme so the week I wore this the colors were purple, blue, and red and I thought to myself *deep in thought* that could work.  I used the ELF 100 Eyeshadow Palette for the colors but I added a lil purple from the Sleek Circus Palette.  First the Red then the Blue and end with the Purple and blend the colors in the crease and there you have it.  Very simple and easy I like it a lot and can’t wait to wear it again.  Now for some of you it may be a bit much and you might have to work your way up to this cause it is kinda bam in your face.  However that’s just me. Lol   I am not sure what the next look is gonna be but *flippin threw my different looks* I am sure I can come up with something.  I am gonna do better I promise *bits lip with a worried look on face* yea yea I can do it I am gonna do better. It's Not Bad Plad...It's Rad Plaid

Hey Everyone!! Well this Look of the Week was inspired by this shirt you all see. I called it Rad Plaid cause it has a plaid print. I got the shirt from the good Wal-Mart *Two Thumbs Up For Wal-Mart* now if they could get more people on registers they would be doin big things lol. Anyways I wore this shirt to church last Sunday with some black pants and a black sweater (very cute). I sat down to do my make up and I was like I wanna do something different that I haven't done before. Now mind you I had an hour to come up with something and if things went completely left there would be no time to fix it. So I was like what colors do I have to work with...I knew I wanted to do the Turquoise color and the Purples and Pink. So I ended up using my Sleek Palette in Circus for the Purple, Pink, and Fuchsia colors. Then I used the NK HD Eyeshadows in Turquoise and Black. I started with Pink in the inner half of the eye and then I was like it's too pink so I came in with the Fuchsia over top and it gave me the look I was lookin for. Then I put the Turquoise color on the outer half of the eye. Next I put the lightest Purple in the crease and above the crease. Then I put the dark Purple just in the crease. Finally I finished her off with black right at the outer corner and crease and blended everything till I couldn't blend anymore. I think it looks just like the shirt which is the look I was going for. What yall think is this a hit or miss???? Let me know your thoughts. I have no idea what we are going to do next but I can guarantee it's gonna be HOT! Have a great weekend. Smooches Rapunzel.

I Am Still Alive Why U Mad

Hey Everyone!!! Yes it's your girl Rapunzel *Lookin Like Do We Know You* I know I fell off and I said I was gonna do better for 2012. However, I have been busy and haven't had time to write. Then to top it off I didn't have a thang to talk about *Lookin Like Girl Yea Right* but for reals I had nothin to say. I really still don't but I thought I should at least get on here and say somethin. So, this may turn into just a random ramble so please bear with a sista. On a happier note I have been doin good with updatin the looks of the week tho *Pattin Myself On The Back* This week is "Why U Mad" *Looks Confused* I know your like where did the name come from but it's my take on the look Nicki Minaj had in the Why U Mad video with Birdman and Lil Wayne so that's where the name came from. I got the look from the tutorial that "TheUrbanSweetheart" did on Youtube. It really was easy it's just a bright orange shade on the lid and then some browns in the crease. The hardest part was finding the right orange shade. I had like 3 to pick from but ended up using a NYX shadow. Now mind you in the video she had on some white leotard thang that looked like bandages or somethin and your girl aint hardly gonna be struttin out lookin like the Mummy Bride. So, I had on green pants and and orange shirt and topped it off with a multicolor tame that was made by "Creations By Jodi" that's my Mamma Yall *Two Snaps For Jodi* Now in the picture my lips look just glossy *Smacks Lips: Like You Just Smashed Some Chicken Girl* but they are a pinky color. I think that's about all I have to say guys. I have a couple more Nicki Minaj looks that I do. One is the Hello Good Morning Video that she did with Diddy. That's one of my go to looks right there. Happy New Year

Hey!! Ok I know your like girl you way late on the New Year greeting but I have been busy and I didn't have time to write or even change my "Look of the Week" Picture. So, I don't really do New Year resolutions. I do however do "Do Betters" so this year's "Do Better" are 1. Not to buy as much stuff on the Internet i.e. mostly make up cause you know that can get outta control real quick. 2. Be better with saving money cause I feel like sometimes I be spending like I am a Rock Star *looking sideways* and I sure AINT!!. 3. Not to use my credit card as much. However, if I stop buying stuff off the Internet they will cancel each other out right??? *Looking Skeptical* Well I think that's all the "Do Betters" that I can handle at the moment so we will see what we can do with those. Reunited And It Feels So Good

Hey Everyone!! Well if you can't tell from the title and the picture today's tale is about me and phone being reunited and you best believe it feel sooooooo good...just call us Peaches and Herb honey *snaps fingers*. Well today my replacement phone came in the mail and I must say I was a little skeptical cause I was like what if this new one don't work either...and I am a be real I just wouldn't be able to take it *fans away tears* cause I told yall I need my phone like a crackhead needs crack...so it just had to work. So I open the box and they literally gave me just the phone no battery (they sent that last week) and no back cover *looks sideways* so I had to use the back from my old phone. At this point I aint care what I had to add as long as my phone worked. Plugged everything in and guess what yall IT WORKED AND STARTED CHARGIN!!!!!! *bust out a cartwheel and a happy dance* so I am officially back in action baby...if you can't tell I am most definitely HAPPY!! So now I just have to send back my old one and we can put this whole UGLY mess behind us thank the Lord *waves hand* so now I am going to go text YEA BABY!!! SOOOOOO HAPPY Smooches Rapunzel

Cherry Culture Goodies and a Rant

Hey Everyone!!! Ok first let me apologize for my MIA status after I said I was gonna do better. lol I went out of town for Thanksgiving (hope everyone had a good one) and then I was busy so I didn't have time to write anything. Then to top it off I was waiting for my Cherry Culture package to come in the mail. Anyways, I would like to give a shout out to Tattoos and Lace and Carissa M. for leaving a comment on my last post it was my first two *claps hands*. Today's Tale is a show and tell of the goodies I got from Cherry Culture. But first if you don't mind I need to take a moment *puts hand on forehead* and vent...so I went out of town Friday after Thanksgiving and got there and why OH WHY!!! did my phone decide to have a spirit and not want to charge anymore!?!!?!?!!?? Needless to say a happy camper I was not *smacks lips* so I get home go to AT&T and buy a new charger (I foolishly thought that was the issue) then put it on the NEW charger and still NOTHIN *throws hands up in the air* so I go back to AT&T and see what they can do. The man puts it on the charger and what happens...starts charging *mouth open and rollin my eyes* I told him I have been foolin with that thang all day long and now it wants to work. So he says lets just let it sit there and see if it gets full. So while we wait of course he asks all the regular questions...have you done this have you done that??? I told him I have done everything but stand on my head and do a back flip to make that thang work. (But he was nice tho shout out to AT&T Rep) so he took it off the charger and guess what???....it hadn't charged surprise surprise. So then he said they are gonna have to send you a battery and it's gonna take 5 days *Looks Sideways* I was like what the what. Now I don't know about yall but I need my phone like a crackhead need crack so 5 days soooooo wasn't in the vision. Anyways it came Saturday and I put it in and guess what IT DIDN'T WORK!!! *Passes Out On The Floor* so had to call the warranty people and talked to Sydney (he was cool too shout out to Sydney) and he told me they are gonna send me a new phone BUT it's gonna be 6 days from now *Runs Screaming Down The Hallway Pullin Out Hair* so needless to say I was bout to just say Jesus take me now cause I can't be that long without a phone. However I went way way way way way in the back of the closet and come up with an old throw back phone so I will be using that until the replacement comes. So I just gotta hold on till Saturday *Biting Nails*. I will keep you posted on that situation.

I have never tried these before but they look like the NYX Jumbo Pencil so I hope they work like they do cause the colors are really cute. I will keep you posted on how they work.

I also got a NYX concealer in Orange but I had to use it this morning so it's upstairs and me being lazy *shaking my head* didn't feel like going to get it to take a pic of it. lol So that's all I got...didn't do too bad. Resurrected Blog

Hey Everyone, ok ok ok I know I fell completly off the plant for like a year. However, I am back *looks questionable* for reals tho I am back. I may not write everyday but I will try to do better this time and not let a year go by like last time *That a darn shame* but my life has been busy busy busy and I haven't had time to sit down and write a good Beauty Tale. However I really haven't had anything to Tale. Moving on I did order a few *shakes head* really a few items off the good Internet. Lets see I ordered from E.L.F. cause they were having $1.11 shipping for November 11, 2011 and they have the "24K Gold Collection" for a limited time only so I got the "100-piece Eyeshadow Palette " now I know I already have one but this one has different colors and and a few mixed colors so you know I had to have that *Yea Right Girl* next I got a Christmas present for my friend. I got her the "Holiday Shimmer Eyeliner Collection" and I think that's all I got but now that I think about it I feel like I got something else but I am not sure. Then my Internet travels took me to cherryculture.com cause they were having a 40% off all their NYX products and as you may know I have been going back and forth on the "Box of Eye Shadows" that has 112 colors I know your saying what you gonna do with all that but hey what can I say I just wanted it and it was gonna be like nothing so it had to come home to mama *Arms Stretched Out* I also got other thing but I can't remember them all but when it comes in I will take pictures and put them on here for you all to see. But you know E.L.F. can be slow as I don't know what so I hope it come before Christmas *Just Kiddin* lol well I think that's all. I just wanted to hop on here and say I am still alive and that I am gonna do better with the Tales at least one a week I hope *Crosses Fingers* we shall see. Smooches Rapunzel
